AustroCel Hallein is an innovative biorefinery. As a company with regional roots which operates on a global scale, we produce highly purified pulp, green electricity, biogas, district heating and biofuels. For this purpose, we use wood from domestic, certified forests (PEFC) within the framework of a circular economy. AustroCel Hallein consistently operates based on the “zero-waste” approach and generates no waste for this reason. As a climate-neutral company, we do not use any fossil fuels, either, and also rely upon renewable energy sources for transport purposes.
